Since 1982 we at Chabad have strived, year on year, to fulfil our commitments to maintain, with increased vitality, the growth and impact that Chabad makes in North East London and across Essex.
Over the past 40 years, Chabad, under the direction of Rabbi Aryeh MBE & Mrs Devorah Sufrin, have served the wider Essex communities by establishing three Chabad Centres, now six Shluchim families, with a full array of religious, welfare and educational activities befitting for thousands of families.
Together with a dedicated team of Trustees and activity volunteers they continue to assess the communities’ needs whilst working with other established organisations, as we adjust continuously to the challenges of migration.
Our forward planning means that our fourth Chabad House, with a new young couple, is set to open later this year in October, in Southend on Sea, Essex.
In addition to their Rabbinic roles, as trained therapists, Rabbi & Mrs Sufrin, throughout many years, have guided and supported many hundreds of individuals and their families through crises affecting their everyday lives.
More recently during the two years of the Covid Pandemic and the now very serious Cost of Living and Fuel poverty crises, Chabad has stepped in with our Food Outreach Programmes.
These projects which reach hundreds of individual and family beneficiaries each week, are now growing to be a full time occupation in themselves and, indeed, a service that we at Chabad take great pride in.
Your financial support is very valuable and much appreciated by us.
