Why & What:      
The “After School Beis” is a parental initiative operating since 2019 with the aim of providing a substantial learning programme in an out of school setting catering for motivated boys with varying learning strengths and skillsets in a positive and fun environment.

Impact:                  
As noted by local rabbonim, mechanchim, and parents, the After School Beis has revolutionized the field of חינוך in NW London. While delivering on our primary mission of increasing quantitatively kodesh learning, the After School Beis is instrumental in creating an environment that fosters a love for תורה  and growth in עבודת השם. In addition, the After School Beis has a major impact by way of assisting boys and their parents in addressing the challenges of technology, and mitigating the impact of counter peer pressure.

How:                      
Empowering our Rebbeim and Madrichim and encouraging them to propose and deliver out-of-the box solutions to address current day educational challenges. 

To whom:            
Boys from Y7-13 attending Hasmonean High School for Boys.

How Many:          
320 boys attend 65 weekly shiurim taught by 14 rebbeim.  During school breaks, circa 50 boys attend daily shacharis, followed by light breakfast and a 1.5 hour learning program.

By Whom:
Year 7 boys learn  in 8 groups taught by expert Rebbeim
Year 8 boys learn 7 groups taught by expert Rebbeim
Year 9 boys learn 3 times a week for one hour with Rebbes Kirsch, Hochauser and Lewis פרק תפילת השחר.
Year 10 Boys learn 3 times a week with Rebbes Chissick and Lewis מסכת סנהדרין.
Year 11 boys learn 4 times a week מסכת ביצהfor one hour with Reb Yoni Rosenfeld.
Year 11 boys learn once a week for 1.5 hour הלכות שבת with Reb Eli Vorhand and in the summer attend a סעודה שלישית  with singing and דברי תורה.
Y12 boys learn 4 times a week for an hour מסכת בבא בתרא Reb Eli Vorhand.
Y12 Year boys learn once a week for 1.5 hour הלכות שבת with Reb Eli Vorhand.
Y12 boys learn 4 times a week for an hour מסכת בבא בתרא Reb Yitzi Bodner.

Rabbi Avrumi Lichtig serves as the educational director of the ASB and is responsible for all aspects of admissions and ongoing operations, as well as liaising with parents on all educational, pastoral, and administrative matters.

Budget:                 
Our annual budget is circa £357,000.00


By raising £350,000 we hope to cover the shortfall of last year, the current year, and of next year as well as enabling us to offer additional programming.
