Beis Hatalmud was set up in 2004 as a Yeshiva high school for boys with a goal to achieving excellence in all areas of Chinuch and education. It was perceived that there was a gap between standards that have been achieved in the United States and Eretz Yisroel and those in the UK which needed to be bridged.

When it was founded, seasoned and professional Rebbes were brought over from Eretz Yisroel, who provided the backbone of a style of chinuch that was quite new to Manchester.

Based on these strong foundations, along with external professional training, Mechanchim and teachers have been guided and trained to form what has become a premier Moisad in Manchester and beyond, with a standard and quality of chinuch, and professionalism of management, which is truly unique.

Beis Hatalmud has heralded a new era of Chinuch in England, bringing unprecedented professionalism to the traditional model of a
Mechina LeYeshiva. 

The school has developed a signature style of teaching, each Rebbe a master educator, stimulating and inspiring, to give each of their Talmidim a profound passion for Torah and Yiddishkeit.

Along with the high standards in limudei kodesh, the boys benefit from a good education in limudei chol studies, allowing them to gain vocational skills and to take GCSE’s upon graduation.

Beis Hatalmud provides a creative range of year round programs and incentives, giving the boys a rich and varied out of school life at the same time enhancing the overall school education.

The leadership team, including Menahel, Rabbi Yechiel Emanuel shlita and Headteacher Rabbi Aharon Pincewski M.A., are constantly enhancing the school experience for each boy, interacting with the staff and boys, to provide the trademark Beis Hatalmud atmosphere. The nosi and Da'as Torah of the school is the venerated Rosh Hayeshiva Hagaon Rav Avrohom Gurwicz shlit"a whom most of the Rebbes and staff in the school are talmidim of. Beis Hatalmud has now opened its doors to receive classes of up to 32 boys who are now split through much of their time at the school and has now seen over 400 talmidim through its gates.

Beis Hatalmud from its outset was privileged to be led and financed internally by the visionary and philanthropist Rabbi Aryeh Ganz shlita who emigrated to the USA in 2017. He entrusted the responsibility of the school to a devoted group of Governors and helped them in their mission with a generous financial package to allow them to position themselves to provide the infrastructure of the school in every area. The Governors have used the years with internal financial support to become interwoven with the fabric of the school and its ethos, to stand behind the senior management team and gain the confidence of the staff. They have also carefully monitored and revisited many areas of the school budget to ensure that it is suitable to present as an offering to the tzibbur as one of the many moisdois requiring external financial support.
With a very small number of well-established supporters and a relatively young alumni,the governors of Beis Hatalmud have seen the
need to reach out to the community, nationally, to stand behind our dynamic institution to ensure its financial stability to be able to continue what we have already begun. Beis Hatalmud has risen the bar in standards of chinuch in Manchester and hopes to continue to do so b’ezras Hashem.
