Emunah provides diverse, life changing services and programmes, helping Israel’s most vulnerable children and their families
Our aim is to enhance and enrich the lives of those in our care and provide them with the tools to break the cycle of neglect, abuse, violence they may have experienced and help them realise their full potential and become well balanced, independent contributing members of society.
With the onset of the war in Israel, Emunah quickly adapted to meet escalating needs while continuing its vital work. From providing safe, nurturing environments in children’s homes to essential therapies and day care centres, our programmes remained a lifeline for many.
British Emunah has gone above and beyond, creating a pop-up school in Afula, replacing a generator in Neve Landy, fundraising for bomb shelters in Afula and Netivot, supplying tumble dryers for day care centres, and expanding therapy services—all while maintaining our core activities.
As we look to the coming year, British Emunah remains committed to raising vital funds to continue this essential work. It’s only with your support that we can succeed.
Since October 7th, the need for our services has grown significantly. Our facilities have adapted to meet this demand by recruiting additional therapists, increasing therapy hours, and expanding care to address the rising complexities of trauma referrals.
The war has led to a sharp increase in referrals, with many more patients requiring urgent support. In Sderot alone, over 100 part-time therapists are working tirelessly, and we anticipate a surge in treatment hours nationwide. We know that creating a sense of safety is crucial for individuals to begin their emotional recovery.
In the North, tensions remain high, and we are preparing for a substantial rise in service demand. Across Israel, professionals warn of a looming “mental health epidemic,” and Emunah is stepping up. Our centres are expanding counselling sessions, emergency support, and community programmes to help clients navigate their stress and trauma, in order to facilitate their recovery. The Emunah Sarah Ronson Centre in Sderot is at the forefront of these efforts, stepping in where social services are falling short.
We need to raise £150,000.00 now so we can continue to provide this vital support. Please help Emunah to continue making lives better through compassion and care. Thank you for your generosity.
