Canvey Island Kehilla was established in 2016, beginning with the first three families moving from Stamford Hill to Canvey. Since then, it has grown to 120 families, and demand and interest continue to increase. Canvey is very much a London project, created to support the expanding London Kehillos. We are immensely grateful for the ongoing support from our families and friends in London and beyond, which has allowed us to bring the Canvey Kehilla to its current glory.

Canvey has mosdos with over 400 kinderlech (KEH), a Yeshiva Ketana, and hosts the world-renowned Luzern Yeshiva. Additionally, it has a main shul and minyanim centre, two further shuls for different areas, a kosher shop, and all other needs that every Yiddisher Kehilla requires. All of this is the fruit of your support, for which we are deeply grateful.

At the centre of Yiddishkeit is Kedushas Yisroel. For those who have visited Canvey and seen the current Shul Mikva, this campaign is long overdue. But we wanted to do it properly, and that’s exactly what is happening now! The plans have been carefully crafted, demolition work has finished, foundations have been laid, and even the steelwork and concrete are already in place. Now is the time to get the Tzibur involved! We need your support to finish!

We have taken the plunge and are working hard to make this work. Now, we look forward to your support to help us finish the Mikva project, which promises to be a landmark project and something we can all be proud of together.
