Step by Step is a non-profit, parent-led organization with a track record of over 2 decades of empowering disabled children and young people aged 3-25 by providing them with opportunities to achieve their full potential. Our services operate out-of-hours, with daily availability after school, on Sundays, during weekends, and school holidays, providing families with essential respite. Our range of leisure and respite services are carefully tailored to support our diverse user base of 220 children with disabilities that span a spectrum of physical, emotional, learning, and mental impairments. These impairments include but are not limited to spina bifida, global development delay, Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, hearing impairments, and other complex conditions. To optimise our service delivery and control costs, we rely heavily on a large team of dedicated volunteers, who provide 1:1 or 1:2 support to the children. Furthermore, we offer a reliable and inclusive transport service, equipped with accessible vehicles to ferry our users to and from our facilities.
 
Currently 220 children are tasting success every week through the range of services we offer which include:
Sports - Includes hydro-therapy swimming, regular swimming, exercise and ice-skating. This is vital for the children as it improves both their physical and emotional health as well as their social integration.
Stay ‘n’ Play – Daily, after school supper service.
Play-schemes – We host playschemes during the Summer, Winter and Pesach holidays.
Sunday Club – This is a full day 10:00am - 4:00pm club split in 5 divisions according to disabilities. Each division is headed by a team-leader who does exciting and stimulating activities with the children.
Friday and Shabbos Club - For 2 hours every Friday and Shabbos, the families receive a desperately needed break when their child comes to Step by Step and is entertained with crafts and activities.
Yomim Tovim - Chol Hamoed, Erev yom tov and Isru Chag, the children are taken out for the full day. They enjoy either a trip or an entertainer. Yomim Tovim the children are taken for 2 hours, giving everyone a relaxed and enjoyable yom tov.
