Tzedoka fund of Mattersdorf – Sorotzkin, Yerusholayim
Since 2013, KTC (Keren Toras Chesed) has been helping local families struggling to cover living costs for a variety of reasons, in a discreet and respectable manner. In most cases, help is extended even without any application being made!
Local Rabbonim, and in particular Hagaon HaRav Yisroel Ganz and Hagaon HaRav Michel Zilber, head this Tzedoka, are heavily involved in directing the fund's activities and in making decisions regarding individual cases. The Gabboim's work is purely voluntary.
Naturally, the months of Nissan and Tishri are the busiest times. However, we are focused all round the year on the individual needs of many families demanding constant support. Monthly distributions are made to alleviate the plight of those under constant pressure.
We assist community members celebrating Simchas, and also homes where sickness and hospitalization strain the household resources.
Costs of therapy and special treatment for families and individuals form another field where we grant special attention and much needed help.
This community is blessed with a large percentage of Bnei Torah, including many prominent Talmidei Chachomim at the forefront of the Torah world. Although members contribute to the fund generously, in many cases their financial resources are limited. By lightening their burden, we will become worthy of receiving great Brocha from Hashem, whom we describe as the king who loves Tzedoka.
