Legadel is there for children in schools who would otherwise fall through the cracks. There are many children who don't have a specific diagnosis and don't qualify for government support, but who do have specific areas of learning difficulty. Before Legadel, school was a miserable experience for children in this position. Unable to keep up academically, they felt like failures, struggling socially and emotionally as well. Today, Legadel supports 100 children in 13 Jewish schools, providing subsidized therapies and regular consolidation of the work done in therapy. We create a strong network between parents, schools and therapists ensuring a wholesome and comprehensive service. All of our therapies take place during school hours so that children don't have to sit through more hours of therapy after an already draining school day. Through our services, Legadel children not only survive the school experience, they are able to really thrive!
