Tashbar Primary School

Tashbar Primary School, based in the heart of Edgware, caters for the growing communities of Edgware and Borehamwood.
Founded in 2004 under the guidance of Rabbi Nechemia Jaffe with just 7 boys, the school now boasts over 200 pupils.
Our Head of Kodesh, Rabbi Leitner, ably leads the kodesh department of our school. He, along with his team of outstanding Mechanchim are continuously investing and innovating to keep the learning alive and invigorating.
The Rebbes show a sense of unparalleled commitment helping each talmid build on the foundations he has already acquired and advancing him to the next level. Working on ones middos and showing due care for each other in school, is regularly stressed on.
Mrs Danan, our recently appointed Head of Chol, has been revolutionary in her short time at Tashbar. In her role, she leads and guides the afternoon staff and ensures that the National Curriculum is covered in its entirety whilst following the school ‘s hashkafa and ethos.
Our Chol department prides itself on its high calibre of staff and on the quality of teaching and learning that takes place across the school.  Teachers use a wide range of teaching styles and strategies to ensure all learning styles are met and no child is left behind.
At Tashbar, we recognise the importance of making learning meaningful and memorable whilst encouraging positive attitudes thus developing the children’s self-esteem and confidence.
