Destination Florida Children’s Charity provide a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Florida for children with life-limiting conditions living in the north of England.

We empower children facing the most unimaginable difficulties to put all their worries to the back of their minds and embark on a journey beyond their imagination, with an eight-day trip to the sunshine state – a place where dreams and happiness soar!

The trip is all about being a kid and having fun and there’ll be lots of fun to be had at Florida’s premier theme parks - including the thrilling Animal Kingdom, the enchanting Magic Kingdom, the adventure-filled Universal Studios and the Islands of Adventure. There’ll also be plenty of time for rest and relaxation, plus a pool day, a shopping day and a disco to round it off!

The children will want for absolutely nothing during their trip as everything is covered, including spending money. We can even help with paying for and completing passport applications!

Caring for children with difficulties is often a full-time responsibility for parents or guardians, which is why our amazing team of medical and non-medical volunteers will take over the reins (no parents or guardians allowed!) This provides invaluable respite to families and carers, who will have the reassurance of knowing that their child will continue to receive professional medical care.

The trip takes place every two years, with the next trip taking off in October 2025.  We need to raise over £300,000 a year to fund 75 much sought-after places.
