The Friendship Circle is central to the Manchester Jewish community, transforming the lives of 175 people with disabilities through a range of innovative social, recreational, and skills-based programmes, that foster confidence, self-esteem, and practical life skills.

Supported by 160 dedicated volunteers, The Friendship Circle empowers its members to forge meaningful friendships and engage in Jewish life, combatting loneliness, enhancing well-being, providing a sense of purpose and belonging.

We inspire a culture of understanding and acceptance, striving to educate and transform attitudes towards people with disabilities in our community, breaking down barriers and challenging stereotypes.

Many of our members are isolated and living alone. With the recent cuts to social care funding, they rely on us as their lifeline. We play a vital role in enhancing their mental well-being by fostering a warm and loving community where they feel supported and connected, helping them navigate life's challenges.

The Friendship Circle receive no statutory funding and rely solely on the generosity of our community to sustain our future. We aim to raise £400,000 through this campaign (80% of our budget). This will enable us to meet increasing demand and maintain our essential services.
