JCoSS is a wonderful and thriving school. Since we opened our doors in 2010, it has been a privilege to educate and enrich thousands of Jewish students, securing their futures and inspiring the next generation and leaders of our Community.

Every day, we strive to provide an outstanding education for our students and to offer wonderful opportunities both inside and beyond the classroom.  Our staff body has a wealth of experience, we offer a huge and varied curriculum, our pastoral and wellbeing provision is exceptional, and we are very proud of our school building and the facilities that our students benefit from. 

As the UK’s first and only state-funded pluralist Jewish secondary school, JCoSS proudly embraces the entire Jewish community, making it truly unique in both Jewish and British education.  Our ethos encourages our students to value being a Mensch and every JCoSS graduate will leave us equipped to inspire others with the achievements and lessons they’ve gained throughout their school journey.

However, as a state school, we are facing enormous cost pressures and we do not want to make any compromises.   There are many reasons why JCoSS needs to crowdfund and so we are calling the campaign ‘JCoSS is Crowdfunding BeCoSS...’

• We need to protect our wide and varied curriculum, including our broad range of GCSE, Vocational and A Level courses.
• We need to retain and attract the best possible teachers for our students.
• We need to offer our students exceptional pastoral care and wellbeing support in these challenging times.
• We need to update our school IT equipment to enhance student learning because our current technology is outdated.
• We need to create additional study areas for our Sixth Form students so that they have more space to work independently.
• We need to upgrade our science labs and practical equipment.
• We need to invest in new equipment to allow more students to pursue popular vocational courses, including media-related subjects.
• We need to purchase new classroom projectors as many of them no longer work.
• We need ongoing funding in order to continue to provide an exciting, engaging and exceptional Jewish Education for our students.
• We need to support every student to help them achieve their very best.
