Yeshivas Nezer Hatorah’s mission statement is clear: “To develop the full abilities of each talmid, producing successful, inspired, motivated ehrliche yidden who fully utilise their own unique strengths and talents for Limud Hatorah, Avodas Hashem and Kiddush Shem Shamayim.”

Judging by the steady flow of bochurim from all of the UK’s Yeshivos, Nezer HaTorah has clearly justified its formidable mission statement. At Nezer HaTorah, bochurim have found warmth and understanding, compassion and empathy, combined with focused, vibrant sedorim and thought-provoking shmuzen and va’adim.

“There they have found a Hanhola who are understanding, but at the same time demanding,” Rabbi Lieberman relates. “The bottom-line is: every bochur can and must succeed in his learning. For some, high pressure works, for others, no pressure at all. Some thrive in bekius, others in iyun. Any number of tools are used to guide and build our bochurim.”

And the most profound evidence that the Yeshiva’s approach is indeed successful, Rabbi Lieberman discloses, is the sheer volume of Nezer HaTorah alumni who proceed successfully to a full array of high level yeshivos in Eretz Yisroel and America, swiftly acquiring an excellent reputation for themselves.

Since the last campaign three years ago Nezer has undergone a remarkable extension to accommodate its growing number of students with a beis hamedrash and dining room in a whole new purpose-built wing. However, with the expansion complete, attention has turned to upgrading the shiur rooms and dormitories and to creating a common room. For a bochur to thrive he needs a respectable place to live and relax which the yeshiva just doesn’t have sufficient of now. Furthermore, with the rising cost of living the day to day running of the yeshiva has become more and more difficult.

Running alongside the yeshiva is a Kollel, Nezer Shlomo, expertly run by Reb Yossi Galandauer.  The yungerleit learn with the bochurim in yeshiva and serve as both rebbes/mentors and as role models.  This also gives them experience of working in chinuch.  Indeed, a number of them have continued to work in the local moisdos hachinuch.

To enable this one-of-a-kind Yeshiva to continue its unique avodas hakodesh, we are running this matching campaign to raise the necessary funding. With the help of loyal supporters, a “matching” fund has been created, allowing the public to contribute with the gratifying knowledge that their support will be doubled.
