Über

Norwood is the UK’s oldest Jewish charity supporting children and families in crisis and anyone of any age with learning disabilities and autism. Norwood has always been ready to respond to the changing needs of our community and adapt its service provision to allow us to be there for those who need us the most. Today is no different.

The need for Norwood has never been so great. In fact, 1 in 4 people will need Norwood in the next three years*. And it is almost certain that Norwood is helping someone you know – your next-door neighbour, the teenager at the bus stop, a colleague at work, a family member; it could even be you.

Sadly, due to the profound societal impact of the last two years, more and more children and families in crisis due to mental health, social and educational challenges require Norwood’s support. Norwood is a constant for those living in our residential and supported living accommodations. Our homes give the people we support an environment to thrive in, personalised care and the opportunity to live a meaningful and fulfilled life.

We need to raise £12 million in voluntary donations from our community each year to meet the £32 million annual cost of running our essential services. We must act now in order to safeguard these. That’s why we are doing a Matched Giving campaign – to raise as much money as we can over a 36-hour period. Starting at 10 am on Sunday 6 November until 10pm Monday 7 November, every pound donated with be doubled.

The community has never needed Norwood more, and Norwood needs you!
