At Our Kids First, we believe that the most important part of divorce is the children's future. Our mission is to guide and provide bespoke and holistic support to families going through divorce. With the ultimate goal of securing a stable and positive future for their children, we ensure a brighter future for both them and their parents.  

Our Kids First all began back in 2018 with five guys helping each other through their divorce journeys. By the end of 2019 this had grown into a social network with over 40 people supporting each other. In 2022, OKF, the charity was established to support both parents, and the numbers of families supported continued to grow. Jump forward to 2024, we are now guiding over 150 families through their divorce journeys.

We provide comprehensive support in 3 key areas

Practical Support

Divorce introduces many new practical challenges for separated parents. The practical support we offer is vast, including food and childcare assistance, moving support and referrals to a plethora of different organisations. By easing the transition, we help families establish a stable and manageable routine.
Only once people's practical needs are met, they can begin focusing on themselves. And only once they are in an emotionally better space, they can then begin focusing on the logistics of the divorce, the get, child arrangements and financial settlements...

Emotional Support

Research shows that divorce is one of the most challenging life events that someone can live through. It is an emotionally turbulent time and often feels isolating. Our professional and dedicated case workers offer a compassionate and understanding ear, providing knowledge, guidance, friendship and community. We support the parents so they can support their kids. We also refer families to therapeutic service providers to further support the emotional well-being of both parents and children.

Legal/Gett Support

Navigating the halachic and civil divorce process is overwhelming. OKF, along with our extensive network of professionals, guide families through each step of the process. From understanding who to call, which processes to begin, to filling out forms, we alleviate as much as the burden as possible allowing for a quick and amicable resolve.

Our OKF qualified mediators and divorce coaches offer thousands of hours of mediation and coaching each year.
