At Paperweight we understand and can help unravel the causes of crisis and layers of stress. At Paperweight we know that life is not always a bed of roses, and therefore we offer not just a listening ear and a shoulder to lean on but more importantly we will help every client take back control by finding practical solutions to a range of their problems .

Paperweight, a heavyweight national charity, offers an easily accessible, confidential and free professionally-run service providing time, experience and a good deal of common sense, just when it seems the rest of the world has turned its back.   

BUT 'a free service is not free to run'.  As the dedicated Jewish Community's Advice Centre receiving on average 10 - 15 new client calls every single day, your funding will help us catch those who are falling through the cracks and will enable and enhance our vital services, including :

• money advice clinics – for debt, budgeting and much more
• family law clinics – for when families rupture
• civil law clinics – including employment and fines
• immigration clinics
• Elder Care - helping the elderly to remain independent in their own home
• Post-bereavement help – at a time when the world has imploded
• Benefits clinics - ensuring entitlements are fully explored
• Housing – we can navigate this very vital but sometimes fraught cornerstone of society
• Paperlite monthly visits – to keep clients on an even keel

These are available for the vulnerable and disadvantaged with free, immediate practical help, providing critical solutions for the consequences of isolation, discrimination, social injustice, poverty and neglect. 

Our offices provide

• a safe and neutral place for our caseworkers to meet clients
• a well-resourced base – sophisticated CRM, a range of experts, professional support -for our Helpline Assessors Team who are the first responders
• for our Allocations Team, Benefits Team, Law Team, Money Team and professional accreditations.
• for personnel inductions
• for training
• for internal and external multi-disciplinary meetings to be held in a professional setting.
