As the only charity that dates back to the times of the talmidei Chasam Sofer, Kollel Shomrei Hachomos has supported legendary talmidei chachomim, Torah institutions of old, and thousands upon thousands of needy families across Eretz Yisroel.

As the largest and most trustworthy organisation since 1799, Kollel Shomrei Hachomos are regularly called upon by individuals facing difficult circumstances. In the past year alone, Kollel Shomrei Hachomos distributed a whopping £12,793,110, which was distributed as follows:

52,973 needy individuals received bi-annual holiday assistance

727 widows and orphans received monthly stipends

589 elderly men and women, and families of bnei Torah, received monthly stipends

1,100 disadvantaged couples-to-be received marriage assistance

373 desperate families received medical assistance after birth

2021 destitute families received a one-time grant

654 exceptional avreichim across 18 kollelim received support

The demand for our services has increased exponentially since Covid-19, and like many others, we’ve been hard-hit by our limited ability to fundraise during this time. Note that this campaign is in place of our annual dinner.
