More than a Chabure
The "Swiss Chabure in Yerusholaim" was founded 10 years ago. There was a great need in supporting the Swiss Bochrim and to create a frame work for them by making better use of their time, and giving them tools to handle the everyday nisyoinos.
It started with a Friday morning chabura, where about 40 Bochrim and Avreichim met each week and learnt together, with great Achdus and Berezifus, and can thus face the holy Shabbes after the time was used well and wisely, as opposed of just late morning sleep which was the common practice until then.
At the end of the Sejder each week, a different member of the Chabure contributes a short speech on the weekly Parsha.
After only a few weeks and visible success, we, besiyato dischmajo, were also able to organize a evening chabure. In this, Chabura, each Bochur pairs with an Avreich as a Chawruse. This system has proven to be a great success over the past 10 years and has been instrumental in further developing the
Bochrim. In addition to support in learning, the Bochrim also get close with the Avreichim, which is of use to them in various areas.
The Chabure is led by Harav Hagoen Reb Schabsai Kraus schlite. With great devotion, he instills lots of enthusiasm, commitment and time and supports the boys with any challenges they may encounter.
At the end of seder on every leil-shishi, either a guest speaker or chabura member gives a short chabura. Chulent and Kugel is served as well in a warm and happy atmosphere.
With Hashem's help we were able to expand the program last zman, with a daily Daf Jomi Shiur as an extra program between sedarim.
This program in particular has shown what great מסירות נפש the Bochrim have for learning as they give up their free time to learn.
Since the start of Daf Jomi Shiur we have b’’h already celebrated 2 big Siyumim
Besides the daily programs, the Chabure promotes the learning of Beretzife, Achdus and the
Cohesion of the Bochrim in Eretz Yisroel with various activities such as joint,
Schabbes Seudes, Weekends, Mesibes and events.
